Fr. Leo J. Schneider

Fr. Leo Schneider was ordained on 22 May 1983 after completing his Master of Divinity degree at St. Meinrad School of Theology. At present Fr. Leo is also finishing a Masters degree in Violin Performance at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. As pastor of Holy Name he serves on the Board of Risen Christ Schools and also serves on the Steering Committee for Evangelization in the Archdiocese under Bishop Pates. Born in La Crosse, Wisconsin his living family members include four brothers, one of whom is his identical twin, Larry. Fr. Leo has a passion for music, the arts and traveling. He joined our faith community in August of 2000.

A quote from Fr. Leo Schneider:

“I see my primary calling in life as being man of prayer and a leader of prayer. Visiting the sick and celebrating the Sacrament of Anointing with them keeps me centered in the heart of priestly ministry. From there I can preach, teach and write with the grace of God in a more effective manner. My primary goal as a priest is to grow in my relationship with the Lord as I come to know him and experience him in our faith community. I pray I may be an instrument in the hand of the Lord to make him known and loved in our time.”
