Easter Triduum - Fr. Leo

The Pascal Mystery, the life, death and resurrection of Christ is the drama that unfolds in the coming celebrations this week of Holy Thursday -The Last Supper, Good Friday - The Passion of Christ and the Easter Vigil - the Resurrection of Christ.  Through these liturgical celebrations we not only celebrate Christ’s life, death and resurrection, but also our own.

Christ’s journey is a guide to our own.  This is what makes the drama so powerful.  Christ’s love revealed in one moment, and the dark side of the human experience in another, create a tension that culminates in the redemption of sharing in the fullness of God - the resurrection.  Walking with Christ through the Easter Triduum teaches us how to live in God as we embrace the good times and the “Bad,” so that we can come to a new place of being filled with light and peace.

Let us journey together in these days and find strength in traveling together.  I invite you to join in celebrating the three most holy days of the liturgical year: Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil.
