Becoming Catholic (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

There is a process in the Catholic Church known as the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) for persons who are not Catholic and would like to become Catholic.  It is also for those who are already baptized Catholic but have not received First Eucharist and/or Confirmation.  RCIA is not a class as much as a process.  Through studying and sharing the Sunday scriptures, and through studying core Church teachings and their applications to our lives, the RCIA candidates are invited to grow more deeply in their faith and discern if joining the Catholic Church or completing one's initiation into the Church is what they desire.  For more information, please contact our Director of Faith Formation, Paul Krenzelok at paulk@churchoftheholyname.org, 612-724-5465, ext. 203. You may also contact our Pastor, Fr. Leo J. Schneider, 612-724-5465.
