What is there for the children?
If we have an adult E3 volunteer for each child oriented program, we will have:
Ages 5–12 will have an age-appropriate program.
Child care will be available for ages 1-5.
Advent 2025: We currently have teen volunteers from Cristo Rey to assist with these programs we need an adult per program to monitor and assist.
What are the basic details?
Start Date:
Sunday, November 30, Noon, Garvey Hall (lunch hospitality included)
Session Length:
2 hours (except retreat/service immersion)
Total Experience:
8 sessions + retreat + service immersion experience
Retreat:
6 hours (spread over December 13th & 14th)
Immersion Experience:
TBD but will be March 7th or 8th
Flexible Scheduling:
Small auxiliary groups of up to 8 participants can meet at alternative dates/times. They are requested to participate in the retreat and immersion experience with the main group.
How do you register?

- Select Register, add the item to your cart, and View Cart.
- Click Proceed to Checkout → Enter coupon 1130JFC (removes $35 fee). Optional: Give a free-will donation to Holy Name to support program costs.
- Complete registration and download your Participant Packet from your dashboard.

2025 Advent - 2029 Lent Growing In Faith Together (GIFT)
We’re excited to announce a four-year social justice program made possible by a generous grant from the Catholic Community Foundation. This will be our GIFT Program, offering opportunities to learn, reflect, and act on issues of faith and poverty. A free-will donation is welcome to help cover the difference between the grant and program costs.

Year 1: Faith and Poverty: A Biblical Response
Year 2: Faith and Poverty: A Solidarity Response
Year 3: Faith and Poverty: A Justice Response
Year 4: Faith and Poverty: A Global Response
Year 1 Goal: Build a Biblical Foundation for Responding to Poverty
Participants will:
- Explore postures that honor God, ourselves, and those we serve.
- Deepen understanding of who we are as children of God.
- Develop a biblical understanding of justice and how it shapes our lives and communities.
Each session includes:
- Lunch
- Prayer & reflection
- Reading discussion
- Videos & group activities
- Spiritual practices
- Integration of faith
