Forming Disciples

We have been entrusted with souls, not with programs, and with the forming of hearts, not with curriculum.

Our work is to tend the slow fire of discipleship.

Formation is seasonal; we think in years, not weeks.

We listen before we act, because it is disciplined listening that shapes wise action.

However, I do not own this ministry;

I steward it.

Your Leadership is Needed

  • We need leaders who outgrow the director.
  • We need leaders whom we can delegate to with trust.
  • We need leaders who can measure fruit, not applause.
  • We need leaders who accept that some seeds bloom long after we have gone.

Sign-up to be an Adult Leader

We aim to form people who:

  • Wrestle with God without fear
  • Belong deeply to this parish
  • Pray with honesty
  • Serve generously
  • Invite others into the life of Christ

If they leave knowing answers but not belonging, something is missing.

If they stay, grow, and invite others, grace is at work.

Parents are Primary Disciples

The home is the domestic church.

The parish strengthens the home, and the home strengthens the parish.

Our Prayer

For This Formation Community

May this parish become a place where:

  • Children trust God
  • Youth think deeply
  • Parents grow confident
  • Adults keep learning
  • Strangers become friends
  • Disciples invite disciples.

That we all remain steady enough to tend the fire.

Sacraments are thresholds,

not finish lines.

Curriculum is scaffolding, not the house.
Information is seed, not fruit.

We welcome questions because doubt is not disloyalty, and theological wrestling is not rebellion. A parish that cannot hold questions cannot hold disciples.
