FAITH FORMATION AND SACRAMENTS

Hello Family in Christ!
I am so excited to kick off a new year with you at Holy Name and St. Leonard of Port Maurice!

You’ve already gone through a lot of changes, and yes, we’ll face a few more together this year. One of the biggest is the new Mass schedule, which means we can’t keep the same class times as before. On the registration form, you’ll see a question about which Mass you most likely will attend. That’s what I’ll use to set programming times.

As I mentioned in my introduction, my approach to faith formation is a little different from your last director’s. Although funny enough, we share the same name! After ten years of teaching, I’ve learned that families at different life stages need different kinds of support. That’s why I’m setting up groups a bit differently this year.
Our core gathering will be a monthly Adult Formation group, using a small-group style like the GIFT program. (And don’t worry—we’ll still have GIFT, or a version of it, during Advent and Lent.) We’ll also continue monthly Multigenerational Family Formation as another foundation.

We’ll have a Sacraments of Initiation group focused on Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation, including First Reconciliation prep. And as interest and ages allow, I’d love to form a Youth/Young Adult group, too.

This year registration is online, just CLICK HERE. (NOTE: The Link will be active soon!)  Each participant needs to be registered individually, not by family. (Yes, I know, another change!) Payment will still be by cash or check.

Our theme this year is simple but powerful: Encountering Jesus. I can’t wait to share this journey with you!
